The Tunnel Boat Design Program (TBDP©) is a PC-based computer program that makes the analysis and design of high performance tunnel hulls extraordinarily fast and simple. The TBDP© incorporates the same design approach as documented in the Secrets of Tunnel Boat Design book (©1982-2007), including detailed calculation methods that are the key to proper Tunnel hull design.

Excellent for any size of boat - Sport tunnel, Offshore catamarans, Circuit Rracing tunnels (F1 / IOGP), Ocean racers (OPC) or Recreational tunnels, including modified tunnel (Mod-VP) & modified Vee style hulls, even RC performance models. Size, speed and setup conditions all accounted for by the software.  TBDP principles perform for all types and sizes of tunnel hulls/catamarans/modified vee hulls.

The TBDP© provides a fast, detailed method for the tunnel boat designer, builder, owner or driver to generate a total performance and design analysis. The TBDP© makes it easy for the designer to clearly predict the effect of any individual or group of design change(s) on the ultimate performance of the hull.  System Requirements

The software is not a fancy graphic or drafting-aid package. It is a proven, engineering design/analysis program that presents predictive performance results in easy-to-read, comparative-style format, on any Windows-compatible PC system.

**NEW TBDP© Version 7 reviewed by Scream & Fly magazine.  Check out the review at the S&F site, or dload your own copy.
** Check out the manual of TBDP 'boat design input' data.  Four full input screens, with over 60+ input variables, for very precise control of your design and setup.
** Get a FREE Video of the TBDP in operation.  See the features, screens, performance graphics.
** Check out magazine reviews of new TBDP software in Hot Boat (USA) magazine.
** Check out magazine reviews of new TBDP software in Raceboat Int'l  (UK) magazine.

The TBDP© allows for unlimited variations of tunnel hull designs stored in individual files. All design data dimensions and performance requirements for each design configuration are input to "free-form" data-entry screens, and can be easily changed. Predictive performance results are calculated with the same procedure as outlined in the Secrets of Tunnel Boat Design© book, using special complex algorithms. Many essential performance indicators such as "angle-of-attack", "wetted surface", "power ratings", "acceleration", "elapsed time" and "dynamic stability" relations are determined for specified velocity ranges. Complex design features such as different aerofoil shapes, sponson pad "steps", enclosed "capsule" cockpits, multiple power trains, and Mod-VP style centre-pod hull designs, can be implemented easily into the analysis. Even effects of geographic altitude and the differences of salt and fresh water are included. The resulting effect on all performance characteristics of even small dimensional or operating changes can be seen quickly.

Professional features include On-Line Help Screens, Design File Management with Save, Add New, delete and Copy File, and data file printing to any Windows supported printer.

Results can be easily analyzed with the powerful on-screen-graphic presentation. All of the essential performance indicators are presented in engineering graph format, for your full velocity range, showing the trends of these important indicators throughout the range of operation.

Detailed results can be saved to individual design files, or can be printed in Design Performance Reports output for further review, comparison or documentation.

Computer Needs: The TBDP© is designed for use with Pentium II PC or compatible computers. Printed output is designed for all Windows compatible printers.

System Requirements: Here are the system requirements for using the Tunnel Boat Design Program TBDP©:

Computer: PC Pentium, or other 100% Windows compatible
Disk Drives: CD ROM drive, preferably 2X or greater; and sufficiently big hard disk drive. The TBDP© program requires approximately 70 MB to install and minimum 35 MB of permanent disk storage space.
Memory: 35MB of available RAM
Video: 800 X 600 screen resolution is best. If you don’t have your screen display set at this resolution, then go to the
"Control Panel", "Display", and change the resolution there.
Graphics Adapter: VGA monitor compatibility. A high performance graphics card and driver is preferred, to take best advantage of the TBDP© "Picture Perfect" graphics. driver.
Operating System: Windows 98/98se/Win2000/WinNT/WinXP
Sound Card: SoundBlaster (SB16) or equivalent sound card is best to take advantage of the TBDP© sound playing capabilities
Printer: Any Windows compatible printer can be used, color is best.
